RAVEN: Recuperating, Preparing Possible DVD
August 10, 2002RAVEN bassist/vocalist John Gallagher has posted the following update via the band's official web site:
"Well! Apologies for the no-show for the past zillion years...a lot due to @!#$!! problems with the computer...but here's a little update. Spent a week down in Florida with [guitarist/brother] Mark [Gallagher] — family vacation. [Drummer] Joe [Hasselvander] came also & we just had a blast hangin' out & then we hit the theme parks... Mark being in a wheelchair helped us beat the lines!!! Just so you know (probably repeating myself..),Mark had an operation back in June where they cut into his ankle for exploratory surgery as he had restricted movement in his right foot...found out his Achilles tendon was atrophied ...they cut it & kinda spliced it to lengthen it... Right now he can stand on it… and is doing physiotherapy... Some guy comes over the house & basically tries to rip his foot off… A lot of fun... But he is in good spirits. So… we wait... Still writing & re-writing… It's frustrating, but cool...as we can look at the stuff we are writing & fine-tune it, which we don't always have the luxury of doing!"
In other news, RAVEN are reportedly in the process of compiling video footage for a possible DVD/VHS release, tentatively dubbed Raw Tracks, which may or may not see the light of day sometime in 2003.
